How good are you at juggling all of the aspects of your life? Are you tired of trying to handle everything, always playing catch-up and never catching up?
Are you tired of settling for less than a magnificent, great or even what you would consider to be a "good" life?

Several years ago I was traveling from Seattle to the Oregon coast to spend a week at my condominium in Newport. As was typical for this lengthy drive, I was listening to an audio tape on my current topic for Self-discovery. At this time in my life, it was co-dependency.
The tape was called "The Miracle of Recovery" and the author was Sharon Wegscheider-Cruse. Sharon told a wonderful story on that tape. One which I have shared continually over the past several years.
Last night, in contemplation of this lesson, I went to my audio library and once again played "The Miracle of Recovery." As is typical with folklore, it seems I have, over the years, added my own special juice to this story. I was amazed.
I contemplated changing it back to Sharon's version, but it didn't fit for me. Then I realized that the reason the story had changed over the years was because I had changed. The reason I had added bigger, more impactful words to the story was because my life had become bigger and more impactful. I had, in fact, learned the lesson in this story. I had done exactly as it taught. Ten years ago, I was trying to heal myself of something called co-dependency. Today, I know that I am already Home and all I have to do is let that Knowingness in. For me, that was the lesson in this story.

There was a very successful therapist living in Seattle. She had a nice practice and was relatively happy. Her complaint was that she was just too busy. No matter which way she turned, there was always something more to do.
Tired of this constant frustration, she went off to Arizona to meet with a guru and see if he had any answers.
She told him of her plight and with great ease he said, "My child, the solution is very simple; simplify, simplify, simplify, get rid of the BAD, keep only the GOOD."
"Aah," she said, and quickly returned to Seattle to implement her new lifestyle.
She went through her life with a fine tooth comb. She explored every nook and cranny. She systematically removed everything in her life that was not what she considered to be "good."
A few years past...she felt tired and exhausted again, and as she reviewed her life, she realized that things were indeed really good. She was very happy. Her business was flourishing and there was nothing bad in her life whatsoever. She had done exactly as the guru said, but once again, she found herself in overwhelm.
Off to Arizona she went. She spoke with her guru.
He said, "My child, you did not listen. Simplify, simplify, simplify, get rid of the GOOD, keep only the GREAT."
"Aah," she said, and once again sped back to Seattle, but NOW she had the answer.
She got rid of everything in her life that was merely good. She picked and she chose until she had ONLY the great. She was excited! She had a great life! She had done it!
Several years again past. She was REALLY happy. Her life was GREAT! Her business had never been better. Her relationships were fantastic. Everything was indeed great as she had created it to be...but, once again, she found herself in overwhelm.
Frustrated again, back to Arizona she went.
This time the guru was not so patient.
He said, "My child, I never want to see you back here again. You did not get the lesson;
Simplify, simplify, simplify, get rid of the GREAT, keep only the MAGNIFICENT!!!"
