LEGACY OF AN ADOPTED CHILD

Lesson 8

When I was 19 years old, I had a child. Having that baby shifted my entire life into a totally new reality. It set up a chain of events that are still manifesting all these many years later.

Even at 19, I was confident in my knowing, and decisive. I knew from the time I got pregnant exactly how the creation would unfold and so it did.

I was not to keep the baby. I was to give her up for adoption. I was not to hold her, care for her, or raise her. I was to birth her. That was my part.

When I started Vicky.com, I didn't realize just how much the teachings would ebb and flow to blend my past life lessons with my day to day experiences. At the onset, I thought that I would bring to light some sort of organized, "pat" set of lessons so that others might learn. Instead, fresh insights, information and gifts are brought to me daily to present. When I read this yesterday, I knew it was one of them. For me, it is a remembering that love does indeed come in several different forms.

LEGACY OF AN ADOPTED CHILD

Once there were two women who never knew each other.
One you do not remember, the other you call Mother.

Two different lives shaped to make you one.
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun.
The first one gave you lifeand the second taught you to live it.
The first gave you a need for love. The second was there to give it.
One gave you a nationality. The other gave you a name.
One gave you a talent. The other gave you aim.
One gave you emotions. The other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile. The other dried your tears.
One sought for you a home that she could not provide.
The other prayed for a child and her hope was not denied.
And now you ask me through your tears, the age old question unanswered through the years.
Heredity or environment, which are you a product of?
Neither my darling. Neither...Just two different kinds of Love.
