JUST WATER

The "coincidence" label is more comfortable for this one!

I was rushing out the door to meet a friend for lunch today and I remembered that I was almost out of bottled water. Over the past several months I have been purchasing water in bulk and bringing it home in recycled 2 gallon water containers. I keep one in the refrigerator at all times.

I only had four containers and drink a lot of water so filling them has become a much too frequent, though necessary, event. I ran back in the house to get the containers and put them in the trunk. I would stop for water on my return home from lunch.

As I put the containers in the trunk, I once again realized what a hassle these particular containers had become. I "wished" that I had some new ones with tighter fitting lids and spouts that didn't leak when I carried them.

I pulled out of the driveway in a hurry but not without noticing that the vacation rental home next door had been vacated today and serviced by the cleaning company. As usual, the cleaning people had put all of the garbage out of the house on my property. I grumbled in my typical fashion and sped out to my luncheon appointment.

My lunch ran rather long so I decided to come straight home rather than go into town and buy my water.

As I pulled in the driveway, I once again noticed the garbage from the house next door. This time, however, I surveyed it a bit closer. The garbage can was there and sealed but along side of it were two large clear plastic bags filled to the top. I did a HUGE double take and abruptly stopped my new round of grumbling when I noticed the contents of both of these large bags; They were filled to the top with ten brand new 2 gallon refrigerator style water storage containers!

Humbly...ever so humbly...I walked to the "garbage" and retrieved my prize.

Tomorrow I will fill them all and have, not 4, but 14 full containers of water at home, ready for my use!

So, you may ask, why in the world does she need 14 containers for water. Well, it has nothing to do with need. God/Spirit/Self/the Universe knows how much I LOVE abundance and when I let God handle it, I always get more than I "need!"

It IS the Father's good pleasure...

And, it is times like this when I chuckle at myself and whisper quietly my simple and gracious mantra;
"Yes!...Thank you, God...More."
