This was in my e-mail box today. Thought you might like to have it if you
haven't already. I am not sending it to be insensitive to your pain of
having to give up a child for adoption but to those adopted children who may
not have had the beautiful reuniting experience you had with your daughter,
and are still struggling with "being adopted." If I am off-base on this,
please let me know. I am "hear" to learn.
Aloha Vicky,

Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture - of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different color hair than the other family members.
One child suggested that he was adopted and a little girl named Jocelynn said, "I know all about adoptions because I was adopted."
"What does it mean to be adopted?" asked another child.
"It means," said Jocelynn, "that you grew in your mommy's heart instead
of her tummy."
